BBQ to benefit Special Olympics Maine

Capital Area Federal Credit Union is holding their 12th annual BBQ to benefit Special Olympics Maine on Friday August 2, 2024 from 11am to 2pm. There will be burgers and hot dogs, chips, beverages and baked goods. This year's sponsor and grill master will RA Robinson Landscaping. Make sure to stop by and help raise money for this worthy cause.

Healthy Communities of the Capital Area (HCCA) is now recruiting new members for our Board of Directors! HCCA's mission is to partner with community members to improve the health and quality of life locally, throughout Kennebec County, the Central public health district, and across the state. Funding for HCCA efforts come largely from state, federal, and philanthropic grants to improve health primarily in the areas of reducing tobacco use and exposure, healthy eating, being active, and preventing alcohol, marijuana and other drug misuse.
