John McLellan has been a Master LEAN Black Belt at IDEXX since June 2012. He has been a LEAN professional for 25 years in both manufacturing and acute care and ambulatory settings. He has trained directly with Toyota Manufacturing, learning the Toyota Production System (TPS) commonly referred to as LEAN. His LEAN emersion training took place while on loan from Parker Hannifin Corporation at the Lexus Tahara plant in Tahara, Aichi, Japan owned by Toyota Motor Corporation.
John has traveled extensively teaching as a LEAN Sensei to other corporate divisions and organizations. Today, John uses this experience to guide and lend perspective to teams, when applying LEAN methodologies His career reflects both leadership experience as a LEAN Manufacturing Management, as well as, progressive cultural change experience in various settings.
