Located in Central Maine, China offers easy access to the state capitol and the mid coast area. The town has two large bodies of water: China Lake and Three Mile Pond. The town of China contains four historic villages: China, South China, Weeks Mills and Branch Mills. As of the 2010 census, China had a population of 4,328 people. China is governed by a five member select board who appoints a town manager to oversee the daily operations of the town.
